Job Description
- Meeting/interview suppliers as and when necessary for complaint/price negotiation /market information updated and liaise with supplier on the nonconforming goods supplied.
- Process and issue purchase orders in accordance to purchasing procedures.
- Submit PO for approval by relevant authority before fax & email to supplier.
- To responsible in requesting for quotations, evaluating offers and prepare price comparison.
- To determine order quantities and purchasing schedule and deliveries to ensure continuity supply and at the same time avoid holding excessive stock.
- To develop and maintain relationship with existing and new suppliers for continual healthy growth.
- Responsible for negotiations, ensuring the best total acquisition cost from current or new suppliers where further cost or service improvements can be achieved, whilst maintaining quality and regulatory standards.
- Ensure the category supply base is developed to improve quality, service, technical competence and reliability.
- Delivering supplier value and performance optimization, whilst meeting all quality and regulatory requirements.
- Ensures that the delivery of goods and services are within the agreed time frame.
- Explore alternate sources for good and materials.
- Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoices issues.
- Conduct annual supplier performance evaluation and update of Approved Supplier List.
- To establish and maintain procurement department ISO documentation.
- Proactive, flexible and self-motivated.
- Any other jobs assigned by superior when necessary.
Qualification & Working Experience Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce or equivalent with minimum of 3 years working experience in palm oil mill industry or
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in manufacturing company industry or any related field.
