Shipping Executive

Primary function:

Responsible with key government agencies such as Customs, MITI and other agency officials to ensure complete compliance with import/export regulation. Overseeing and managing the entire process of shipping goods, ensuring that products are delivered to customers or between locations in an efficient, timely, and cost-effective manner.

Secondary function:

  1. Process Improvement
    • Continuously reviewing and improving shipping processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency, reduce delays, and minimize costs.
  2. Supplier and Vendor Management
    • Building and maintaining strong relationships with third-party logistics providers, suppliers, and carriers.
    • Monitoring the performance of these partners to ensure quality service and timely delivery, as well as addressing any issues or disputes that arise.
  3. Collaboration with Other Departments
    • Working closely with other teams, such as project, marketing, store, and production, to ensure smooth coordination in fulfilling customer orders.
  4. Handling Special Shipments
    • Overseeing shipments that require special handling, such as perishable goods, fragile items, hazardous materials, or high-value products.
    • Ensuring that these shipments comply with special handling regulations and are delivered safely and on time.
  5. Customer Relationship Management
    • Assisting in building customer loyalty by providing superior service related to shipping, such as ensuring timely delivery, offering shipment tracking, and handling any shipping-related complaints or concerns.
    • Participating in customer satisfaction surveys or follow-ups to gather feedback on shipping performance.
  6. Risk Management
    • Identifying potential risks in the shipping process (e.g., delays, lost or damaged goods) and developing strategies to mitigate these risks.
    • Handling insurance claims for damaged or lost shipments and ensuring that proper coverage is in place.
  7. Any other jobs assigned by superior when necessary

  9. Inco-term 2020

Limit of authority:

  1. Any deviations from the budget or changes in the cost structure require higher-level authorization.
  2. Authorize changes of SOP in QMS system

Qualification & Working Experience Requirements:

  1. Degree or diploma in Supply Chain or equivalent with minimum of 5 years working experience in manufacturing or logistic company; or
  2. Minimum 5 years working experience in shipping and logistic palm oil mill company.
  3. Familiar with containerize and conventional shipment.
